GasVue® Backscatter Absorption Gas Imaging
For 10 years, Alan Dewey was the top electronic engineer at Laser Imaging Systems, Inc.
We designed and manufactured
GasVue®
Backscatter Absorption Gas Imaging Systems. We designed infra-red
scanners, video pre-amplifiers for infra-red detectors, laser control systems, laser temperature
control to 0.02 oC. We know the
challenges and limitations of designing such sophisticated systems for industrial
use. We know how to make repeatable CO2
laser grating adjustments down to 7 mm.
This is done with stepper motor drive and LVDT feedback. We also have experience designing class 4 laser systems to comply with C.D.R.H.
regulations. GasVue®
systems used DC excited CO2
waveguide laser. Early systems were operated with water chillers and a dc
heater around the laser tube. Later, direct cooling by Peltier thermoelectric
modules resulted in much lighter and manueverable systems.
