
Definitions
ATA Analogue Telephone Adapter. An ATA is an electronic
device that converts traditional telephones into digital signals to transmit them
over the internet. It also converts internet digital signals into traditional
telephone signals. An ATA allows you to use the telephones you already have.
You will use your telephones normally. They will ring, answer, hang-up and
make calls just like you do now. Calls to 911 are
much different.
DID "direct inward dial" This is a number that can
be dialed by the public. It will ring the telephone(s) that you choose.
Unlimited Unlimited means unlimited use for individuals and
traditional businesses. These plans do not apply to telemarketing, call centers,
or any business in which telephone calls are the primary source of activity.
This also meand you may not purchase an Unlimited Individual plan and use it for
business. Each ONE unlimited plan allows for calls out and in for one DID
number.
