ATA  Analogue Telephone Adapter.  An ATA is an electronic device that converts traditional telephones into digital signals to transmit them over the internet.  It also converts internet digital signals into traditional telephone signals.  An ATA allows you to use the telephones you already have.  You will use your telephones normally.  They will ring, answer, hang-up and make calls just like you do now.  Calls to 911 are much different.

DID   "direct inward dial"   This is a number that can be dialed by the public. It will ring the telephone(s) that you choose.

Unlimited  Unlimited means unlimited use for individuals and traditional businesses.  These plans do not apply to telemarketing, call centers, or any business in which telephone calls are the primary source of activity.  This also meand you may not purchase an Unlimited Individual plan and use it for business.  Each ONE unlimited plan allows for calls out and in for one DID number.

Read the service agreement.
