Winter Motorcycle Racing News
It is winter in the northern hemisphere; this means very little motorcycle racing activity. In this edition we bring to you a list of racing schools and a race video from the 2007 season.

We are making plans to be at Daytona again this spring for the Championship Cup Series, the Moto-ST endurance race and the Daytona 200. Activities begin February 28 ending with the 200 on March 8. RV camping on the infield of Daytona Speedway is an excellent base for our video operations. Once again the WildBlue(r) satellite internet dish will be mounted on the tailgator RV so that videos will be uploaded and emailed to you throughout speedweek. Thanks to viewer feedback on our coverage of the SunTrust Moto-ST endurance racing at Daytona and Homestead Motor Speedway this year the videos will be provided by email. Because we only use Streaming Media from Helloworld(r), your inbox will never be overfilled regardless of the length of the video. Our coverage of the 8 hour endurance race this past October was our best ever thanks to the staff at www.2WF.com 2-Wheel Freaks is the motorcycle website we read every day.  2WF.com and JTK are already working on plans to bring you even better coverage throughout 2008.

Racing Schools and Track Days
Whether you want to qualify for a motorcycle roadracing license or just want to get your personal bike onto a real racetrack, you have opportunities throughout all of 2008 and in all regions of the USA to do so. Even if you never race, these events may make you a better and safer street rider. The best part is no speed limits, no intersections, no blue-haired grandmas!
Here are some of the better known riding and racing schools in no particular order: 

Midwest Cafe Racing Association "track day"; May 11, August 16, October 12 at Gateway International Raceway near St. Louis, Missouri. Ώ

Frank Kinsey Racing School will be at Moroso (West Palm Beach, Florida), Roebling Road (near Savannah, Georgia), Jennings, Florida and possibly Carolina Motorsports Park. Ώ Check his school calender.

Penquin Racing School website says it is their 34th year ! They have quite a schedule. Mostly in New Hampshire. Ώ Two schools at Homestead Motor Speedway (near Miami, Fl) and one at Jennings, Florida

Ed Bargy Racing School has 22 events scheduled in 2008 Mostly at Jennings, Florida, a few at Roebling Road, near Savannah and one at Talledega.

Longevity Racing School Ώ John Long teaches mostly at Homestead, Florida.

Sandia Motorcycle Roadracing Inc is New Mexico's only AMA sanctioned racing organization. Trackdays in Alberqueque, New Mexico and La Junta, Colorado.

Code RACE Keith Code's superbike school teaches at Streets of Willow Springs in California. This is one of the few schools that can supply you with everything. Ώ If you choose, you can just show up and everything is provided including leathers and a prepped Kawasaki ZX6R.

Track Addix new racer school also has track days. ΏIf you select the new racer school, your Championship Cup Series racing license is included. The 2008 schedule was not complete at the time of this publication. Tracks include Barber Motorsports Park in northern, Alabama, Blackhawk Farms near Rockford, Illinois, Brainerd International Raceway, Daytona, Gateway International near St. Louis, Missouri, Hallet Motor Racing Circuit in northeastern Oklahoma, Heartland Park near Topeka, Kansas, Iowa Speedway, Miller Motorsports Park in Utah, and Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin.

Jason Pridmore's Ώ STAR motorcycle school has classes on tracks throughout the U.S.A from California to Daytona, Florida and even an event scheduled at Virginia International Raceway.

Freddie Spencer's Ώ High Performance Riding School calender for 2008 shows events scheduled for Las Vegas and Miller Motorsports Park.
